Local Systems

This is the work underneath everything else.

Not a single app. A set of small systems that make local life less stupid.

Food should not be invisible.

Wood should not require calling five people from memory.

Visitors should not drive through the front door of the country with no idea what is two kilometres away.

Local skills should not live only in someone’s head until they retire.

Purpose

The purpose is circulation.

Money circulates.

Attention circulates.

Trust circulates.

Right now too much of it leaves before it touches the people here.

Current Initiatives

• Resource mapping — who grows, cuts, builds, repairs, hosts, teaches, sells.
• Local trade loops — food, timber, firewood, services, events.
• Visitor shelf — a map and standards layer for places worth finding.
• Knowledge capture — practical local knowledge before it disappears.

Timeline

The pilots are already moving through Häädemeeste.

Small first. Real first.

If it works in a parish of 5,000, it can travel.
